$1 Stress Relief...

Lincoln Brewster is about to release a new album, but the first single, "Today Is The Day" came out a few weeks ago.

And it's great.

Yes, I am a Lincoln Brewster fanboy, but I think this tune is one of the best things he's done in awhile.

One of the themes that God seems to have to teach me is this idea that He gives me the grace I need to handle today.

I'm continually planning, worrying, plotting, and predicting - often days in advance

(You other worriers out there know how exhausting this is.)

And that's why I love this song. It takes a very simple truth - that this is the day the Lord has made - and builds an entire song around the idea of God's grace and provision in my life for this day.

It's grade-A songwriting - sticking to a theme, reinforcing his main idea in a way that's clever and unforgettable.

There's a noticeable "ccm vibe" to it - there's some ad libs and riffs that probably wouldn't sit very well in a congregational setting, but I think the songs good enough to adapt and encourage believers as they sing it.

So I'm asking you to buy it. I'm serious...go download it for a dollar and make it part of your morning drive mix for the next week or two. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I think you'll be encouraged and reminded that God's mercy are new every morning and that each day is made and kept and guarded by Him.
