At the risk of encouraging all my music-snob friends who don't like U2, I have a question.
If you are true U2 fan - I'd love your input.
The last U2 albums have been good. Really good...
Here's my question?
Which record is better? If you had to pick, what would it be?
1. All The You Can't Leave Behind
or
2. How Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
If you are "hater" and really feel the need to slam a band that is loved and appreciated by someone as smart and talented as me, I guess that's okay, too.

Though I love 'Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own', I'm going to have to say I enjoyed All That You Can't Leave Behind more as a full album than Atomic Bomb...
Atomic Bomb was their "First Real Record" according to Bono.
All That You Can't Leave Behind...like Blake said, as a full album. There are songs from Atomic Bomb I can't live without though, like "City of Blinding Lights" and "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own".
i'm still not sure how someone can get away with essentially starting a song...
"one... two... three... FOURTEEN!"
and its considered cool.
Really, "Jay?"
That's what you think after hearing Vertigo?
The count bothers you?
"I still haven't found what I'm looking for..."
Nothing compares to the fresh, prickly intensity of the Joshua Tree project...Haunting vocals, echoing guitar, up front bass and percussion and those "searching, searing lyrics"!!!
