gee...do you think romack is going to choose carter??
no coincidence that he would be my choice as well. the difference is i'm not in love with carter like romack is.
my vote is for carter. i believe he would be a better choice over tommy lee because of the flexibility in styles. tommy lee is a great drummer, but i really only see him as the hardcore rocker style. i have no idea about the other guy.
oh - for those who don't know - Abe is one the most sought after "sidemen" when it comes to drummers - he is easily the most "flexible" drummer listed - He plays with everybody - and (a little Belmont plug) he claims Chester Thompson, a current drum set instructor at BU, as one of his main influences -
"Hi, this is Forrest and I attend Belmont. As a matter of fact, I'm about to graduate Belmont and I've really enjoyed my time at Belmont because Belmont is the premeire music school in the country. You should all be really impressed by my Belmontness. Belmont Belmont Belmont."
I think Abe is easily one of my favorite guys to listen to on drums right now. I guarantee if you listen to any music at all, you've heard him play before. He's done sessions for folks like Paul McCartney, Sting, Steve Vai, Jewel, even Ashlee Simpson. What really got me listening to stuff he's on is Vanessa Carlton's "Be Not Nobody". He does some amazing work there that, he doens't get to solo on, but, he provides the backbone of the song and makes it sound so tight.
Carter is great, don't get me wrong. He just may not be as versatile as others out there. I aspire to be as versatile as Abe is one day - and that's why I listen to his work all the time.
see what happens when i don't get to hang out with the TWB...all of my musical knowledge has left me. i don't know anything about anyone anymore. guess i should google abe.
Tommy Lee! Gotta be true to the Crue. Plus, I'd like to see a rotating drumset in worship. I don't think its been done. Hmmm...I think I'm getting an idea for Crosspoint.

i predict that romack is going to pick abe.
What the heck? What about Henley, Collins, and those old rockers?
I've already stated that I would not be voting anymore....but I know who I'd be voting for if I were...
what makes you think carter is flexible Michael - all you hear him play is sub-par jam band material -
is that what you mean by flexible -
TOMMY LEE all the way -
It's all about the rock
