Runnels posted this awhile back, but it is TOO great to pass up. (Not only is it fun, but it encourages comments! Yay!)
Comment on this post and I will reply with one of the following:
1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll tell you which song or movie you remind me of.
3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to eat with you.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me, if possible. (If not, I'll say something that only makes sense to me.)
5. I'll tell you my first memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something I've always wondered about you.
8. I'll tell you my favorite thing about you.

Hello
4. "Get in."
I had a horse.
of course now you've peaked my interest..but be kind about the thing you like least about me...
ok , i gotta get in on this
This should be interesting
"Get In"
Man I wish we could share that story with everyone over the web-waves.
Chris...#8...my favorite thing about you:
Two parts...first off, you're one of the hardest working men I know. Seriously, up at the crack of dawn, sell drugs all day, raise farm animals in the afternoon, program worship sets late into the night.
Secondly, you've got one of the best attitudes of any sound man I've ever know. You are such a servant!
Kandice...#5...my first memory of you.
My first memory of you is realizing that you loved Christian music as much as I did in high school.
You knew all the bands, all the news, all the random tidbits about Christian music subculture that I thought were reserved for lonely loser radio boys!
I also remember that Wes King led worship for your youth group. Awesome.
dont be mean to me.
Gimme a shot
Blake...#1...something random.
I am totally freaked out by the hoodie you have that's white with dinosaurs all over it. If concerns me...it's like a special issue Barney sweater or something.
See, random?
Scott...#9...my least favorite thing about you.
Scott, my least favorite thing is that I never what the condition of your facial hair is going to be.
Will it be a Charlie-Hall mega beard? Close-cropped youth pastor goatee? Chin strap? Amish beard?
It's very unsettling...I need consistency in my life.
Bobby...#6...animal you remind me of...
You remind me a "Jason Fullen." It is a rare breed of East Texas Humanoid. Normally docile, although it can be dangerous if threatened. Your voice, body language and preaching style remind me of one of these very unique creatures.
Artie...#7...something I've always wondered about you...
Have you punched anybody before?
Not that I think you would...just curious. Maybe you were wilder in your youth.
1. I stole this idea and exact syntax from a teen age girl. If that genius makes, so be it!
2. Hit me!
David...#2...song that reminds me of you.
Not so much a song as much as a genre.
David, punk music (real punk music) reminds me of you. Because even though you're a financially stable, white youth pastor in a church with a long history of tradition...you are punk rock. Inside that chest that's hugged hundreds of teenagers in a spirit of counsel and prayer beats the true heart of everything that's best about a real "punk."
So, I guess you sound like the Ramones.
Yes, please.
I want a cool thing to be said about me, too!
(jumping up and down in giddy anticipation)
(... and now worried that he has set himself up for one of Todd's famous virtual slaps in the face)
Angela...#8...favorite thing about you.
This one is easy. Angela, my favorite thing about you is how sincere you are. Angela, I am constantly surprised at the way you speak and relate and love children. I love the way you speak to your elders. I am impressed when I hear you complain because even your complaining is sweetened with grace.
And what's more? I believe every word of it. This is why people like hanging out with you, girl. God's gifted you to make others feel amazing.
Oh, and you ROCK as a projectionist.
Well Todd..that depends on if you mean in anger or in practice..
Last time I punched someone in a "fight" was about 1972 on the school grounds of Santa Fe Schools in Alta Loma Tx. I was 12. Someone else was picking a fight with the big kid... I punched quite a few people back in 83 and 84 when I was taking a Tae Kwon Do class in Austin TX. Even punched my bride in that class. Kicked her too. I've never been a bully and never wanted to "fight"..I'm pretty conflict averse.
ok, I'll play along but be very kind. I can be very emotional.
Ok, I'll bite...
Lance...#5...my first memory of you.
I remember meeting you when you were hired by Harmony Hill Baptist. I remember talking to you about youth worship and the need for good worship ministry and how important it is for kids and how you really needed to find just the right guy for the job.
And you looked at me and said,
"Why don't YOU do it?"
Even thought it took me awhile, I finally came around to the idea and I'm so glad you pushed me to take a chance on youth worship.
Stephanie...7...something I've always wondered.
Did you and Don Wayne always know you were gonna' end up together? You guys are like two peas in a pod! It's so obvious that the Lord put you together, but I've always wondered if either of you felt that during those crazy teenage years?
Romack...#3...flavor of jello to share with you.
I don't have a specific flavor in mind, because I don't have to.
You see, Justin, you are almost as "picky" with your food tastes as I am. So I know that if I had to share one flavor of jello with another man, it would be you...because you would undoubtedly pick the same flavor I would pick.
So...cherry?
OK ... I'll play ...
DWC
hmmmm...ok
Lets do this!
DWC...this one is easy...#9...least favorite thing about you.
It's your laugh.
Oh, sure...it's giggly and lilting and brings a smile to anyone who hears it, but crud...do you have to be so joyous ALL the time?
Must you stick that wonderful laugh of yours in my face? 'Cause I'm getting sick of it.
Michael...6...animal you remind me of.
You remind of a loving, faithful, puppy. You're quiet, unassuming, yet loyal and true. Dependable...reliable.
Can I pet you?
Adam...

(in a whisper:)
"you're a wizard!"
Todd,
To answer your question, and I can't speak for DW but we dated for 8 years before marriage. Those were the craziest 8 years ever. We fought and broke up more than any couple alive. But, I think the problem was that both of us knew we were suppose to be together but the committment of marriage scared us to death. We finally decided that it was either time to make that committment to marry or step away form each other for good because this fear was damaging the relationship. Then the rest is history.
