It seems as though all of those folks in the trailer were searching for something. Be it relationships, fun, or just a way to kill time.
It makes me ask the question; What has happened that they cannot find these things in the real world?
Is remaining anonomous the catch? I can't get caught if they don't know it's me. Or is it that they are accepted easier within that playzone? Or whatever you choose to call it.
it's fantasy. you can be everything you're not in the real world. people pick on you at work? log on and dominate in WOW. i see the same thing with instant messaging. people will say anything on aol because it's not personal. there's healthy ways to enjoy gaming and of course there are those that are looking for an alternate reality...an escape from their normal lives. do i play online games? you bet...but i know that i'm a big dog in my real life!
Wow michael, maybe you have helped me to find what my ultimate problem is. I am not a very big guy so I may have a touch of "Little Man Syndrome". You know, like Jason Alexander on the video "Online" by Brad Paisley.
I think I might be getting closer to who I really am now. Thanks.
