As some of you may have noticed, I've been listening to the music of DecembeRadio over the past month or so. I've mentioned them to quite a few people, usually to no response.
However, at the last few gigs I've played, I've wired up the iPod during soundcheck or just as general "welcome music" and I typically get 2 - 3 people asking...
"Who's this band?"
It was until today that I realized that these guys were nominated for a Grammy (they didn't win) and four Dove Awards. (I'm not sure if the Doves have happened yet.)

This is a fantastic rock record that unashamedly proclaims the goodness of God and His desire to restore His people. I'm often not a fan of "Christian Rock," but these guys do it really well. It doesn't hurt that their influences are guys like the Black Crowes, Lenny Kravitz, King's X, Aerosmith. One particular track, "Drifter," is an epic rock ballad of truly eternal consequence. I encourage you to check them out.
