I feel relatively sure that the majority of you are involved either directly or indirectly in the ministry of worship.
Some of you make music, some you oversee technologies, some of you greet, etc. But the fact remains that many, many, many of you involve yourself in some aspect of worship leadership.
So here’s a worship question for you all. (Bear in mind that I speak in generalities here. This isn’t necessarily a “music” question, but rather a general call for overall opinions on the discipline of worship.)
What constitutes good worship?
Does something need to occur in a given service for us to leave saying, “WOW! THAT WAS AMAZING!”
I understand that many of us are handicapped to some extent because we’re not out there in the crowd, assessing the worship. But if worship leaders don’t ask the question of themselves, we are kidding ourselves. We should be thinking, talking, dreaming, complaining and asking worship at every opportunity.
So…what makes worship GOOD?

I'm not gonna' lie. Lost got me back in a big way last night. Hey, Blake, I'm interested in finding an online source where the various theories are proposed by fans. The ABC boards are filled with way too much, typically commenting on recent elements of each show. You got a source for theories?

Romack did a bang-up job on the sequencing for "Promised One." I'm tracking acoustics and vocal tonight and will have Chris do bass tomorrow night. Who knows? By the weekend, I should have a little download for everybody to check out.
I know this flies in the face of every rock-and-roll thing I've ever done in my life, but the more I listen to Romack, the more I come to believe that Reason is really, really cool.

Two Things:
1. Trapped In the Closet is the funniest thing I've ever seen
2. I'm never doing "Love Me Like You Do" again

Hey, just wanted to take a second to ask you guys to pray for the Wrights. As it looks right now, the church is not going to be able to fund both my salary and group insurance. The cost of insurance far exceeds what the proposed package can handle.
Next week, we're going to try to get some information on getting a private policy for the family, which will likely be cheaper than the church's group plan. If we can do that, it's possible the church will just hand me money each month to pay for the private policy. However, the fact that Kristen's "ANA levels" are elevated every time she's tested, most carriers won't cover her.
I'll be honest with you, we don't have a clue what to do. We're not sure if the insurance junk is a test from on high or a sign that we're headed elsewhere in our journey. Simply pray for God's will to be done and for our family to be at peace with whatever that is.

Items of note....
-Just got a copy of the new Third Day record. Good, good stuff.
-The new Paul Baloche record will be released in March, but they've got a studio demo already available for download at www.leadworship.com. (Free downloads page) He wrote with Glen Packiam of Desperation fame. It's a good tune - everytime Paul puts out new stuff, I don't like it for about a week, then it's the coolest thing in the world. I believe the studio record will be a live recording from his church, but I'm not sure.
Check some of that out..

Need to add drums, bass and 2nd acoustic to Promised One and it will be good to go. If done in time, I'll try to post it in the December issue of worshipnotes as well as here on the blog.
In addition, I hope to be sending demo versions of The Cross of Christ and Promised One to some worship leaders to get their thoughts. Who knows? Somebody might actually even want to play 'em!
I tried to some percussion and bass myself, but I really suck at it. Romack did a good job doing the rhythm section of The Cross of Christ, so maybe we can work something out. Just don't know how good I'll be at syncing up his stuff w/ mine.

You’re not gonna’ believe this. A few days ago, I heard some of the most me-centered worship I’ve ever heard. Get this…
People singing in English!
How much more me-centered can you get? This is about God! I need to find a church where they sing songs for God. In Hebrew.
