Even though I already knew pretty much what was up with this movie, I still loved every second of it.
I expected plenty of suspense and nods to the murky world of social networking, but the compassion of this film surprised me.
Compassion is everywhere - our protagonists aren't mean spirited and end up showing an unfathomable measure of grace to a family in serious need.
There's been some speculation that Catfish is fake. A few notable documentary filmmakers have applauded it while simultaneously claiming it's a ruse. I'm not sure where to land on that. Yes, there are moments that seem just a little too tidy, but I'm okay with that.
If it's fake, it's a beautiful one.
