I had a different favorite every week I am sure..but what I do remember is that somehow our Senior Song..to represent the LHS class of 95 was "I've had the Time of my Life" from Dirty Dancing!! What??? Who voted on that?
My Faves? Aerosmith some, ZZ TOP mostly, The class favorite song for the Sr Class at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe Texas was "Looks like we made it" I know...weak, but the 2nd place song (and I know this why? I was Sr. Class President and did the count with a couple of teachers) was "Hot Legs" by Rod Stewart LOL!!
at that time, i was really big into the R&B/Hip hop scene...back when it was good stuff. Boyz II Men weren't really a band but a group. In my opinion, they revolutionized the genre. I miss that time in music. Most of hip hop today is crap. BTW high school for me was early to mid 90's!
Van Halen (the real one), Michael Schenker Group, Vandenberg, Rainbow, and Journey. Probably liked Vandenberg the most.
Wow, someone already said Boyz II Men. Color me amazed. But yes, they were my favorite band/group when i was in high school.
Band??? I was a country man so mostly solo artists there. But As far as band is concerned it has to be
THE EAGLES.
Oh..I forgot.. I don't know how.
The Doobie Brothers!!
The Gap Band (you dropped a bomb on me) jacksonville high school sr class of 84 (1984 not 1884). also van halen , eath wind and fire & ub40
you guys are old.
My favorite band in high school was Petra (when they were still Petra and not trying to sound like everyone else on the radio.)I know, I know. Not only was I a geek. I was a CHRISTIAN geek.
Not sure I played by the rules here. The Eagles were already on their 2nd go around by the time I rolled around in high school. I did get to see the Hell Freezes over Tour Live though...
I suppose I was to name the band that was really popular when I was in school... sorry.
That would be somebody like Stone Temple Pilots or Pearl Jam or something.
mötley crüe, violent femmes, U2
Rock...Def Leppard and Van Halen
Country...Alabama
Genesis.
Class of '89.
The Prayer Chain and Mortal.
Still listen to Prayer Chain every now and then. But listened to some Mortal the other day and it scared me.
Oh, high school!
I was a Christian geek, too.
Aerosmith and 4Him. How bout them apples?
Styx, Journey, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Foreigner......
N'Sync (BSB sucked, and still does).
TLC.
Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Green Day.
To me, Western Swing was the thing and George "brought it" in the best way. Still does for that matter and also, I may point out, is still married to his FIRST wife. Unheard of in this day and age...
IF YOU ARE TALKIN COUNTRY GROUPS IN THE EARLY EIGHTIES WHEN I WAS A TEEN. IT HAD TO BE ALABAMA.
Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, and blink-182.
Linkin Park
Linkin Park
Okay...everyone else has missed it.
My favorite band and high school and still the greatest band ever...
Pearl Jam. That's right, I said it.
