Favorite moment from worship yesterday...

Sound engineer upstairs screaming into his talkback microphone:

"PLAY SOFTER!
BLAKE, YOU'VE GOT TO PLAY SOFTER!"

No wonder he was so loud - with all those cymbals I'm seeing there...I wouldn't expect anything less.

I had visions of a younger Romack yesterday. But you should hear the recording. Excellent stuff.

So, Todd had to stop playing his guitar to pick up a cymbal stand of Blake's...yeash. That would be my early days alright.

Yeah, but look at you now. The picture of "percussion". Blake did great, but I haven't figured out yet how he couldn't hear what he was doing to the bell of that cymbal. I'd bet the bagger at Brookshire Bros. could hear it.

It was also fun when we came off stage and were standing around saying,

"Dangit, Blake. You were playing so loud."

And Blake says, quite casually,

"You know, if you guys would have put the drum mix in my ears I wouldn't have played so hard. That's what always happens to me."

We're all just standing there looking at him for a few seconds before he says,

"Guess I shoulda' told y'all that..."
